Are Private Investigators Regulation in force?
Currently, Private Investigators are not licensed within the UK. However there have been many conversations in parliament surrounding the regulation in the industry.
However here at Private Detectives Bristol, We believe that licensing would be great for the industry and it will ensure everyone operates to a particular standard and ensure all investigators are acting lawfully.
Private Detectives Bristol are current members of The Institute Of Professional Investigators.
The Institute Of Professional Investigators has recently worked alongside WAPI & UKPIN who are other professional organisations. Filling the void on licensing and have come up with a joint code of ethics & professional conduct. Investigators should abide by these ethics always.
All members of the listed professional bodies must follow the established code, and we encourage other organisations to do the same.
